Amphora. Rounded shoulder; dense, low ridging on upper body. Red dipinto in large letters across shoulder.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Light reddish brown fabric, more buff on exterior surface; consistently fired. Medium fine, hard; slightly granular break and gritty texture. Tiny to small, well sorted, black, gray, rarely red and white inclusions; rare, small to medium, subangular voids. Wet smoothing.
Preservation comment
One large shoulder preserves part of upper body to shoulder. Moderate, extensive abrasion and gouging, with chipping and erosion around edges; worn breaks; no visible encrustation.
