Amphora. Straight upper wall turns to low sloping shoulder; strong, rounded ridging. Red dipinto in at least two lines across upper shoulder, near turn to neck.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Reddish brown core and interior surface; buff exterior surface (1 mm); consistently fired. Fine, hard; smooth to slightly granular break. Common to uncommon, well sorted, tiny, black and dark gray to dark red bits; uncommon to rare, small, subangular, white (lime) particles; no visible mica.
Preservation comment
One large fragment preserves part of shoulder and upper body. Very slight chipping; mostly clean breaks; frequent specks of encrustation across surfaces.
