- Description
- Amphora. Low, rounded shoulder with dense, low ridging extending down upper body. iRed dipinto in large characters across upper shoulder, near turn to neck.
- Fabric, firing, and surface description
- Pale yellow fabric, slightly more pink on exterior surface; consistently fired. Medium fine, slightly grtty texture but mostly smooth break. Rare, small, angular black inclusions; rare, small, subrounded, white inclusions; very rare, rounded voids of various sizes in break and on surface; no visible mica. Wet smoothing.
- Preservation comment
- One large fragment preserves part of upper body and shoulder. Slight, sparse abrasion and erosion with pitting; worn breaks; frequent specks of encrustation across surface.
