Description
Amphora. Low, rounded shoulder with dense, low ridging extending down upper body. iRed dipinto in large characters across upper shoulder, near turn to neck.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Pale yellow fabric, slightly more pink on exterior surface; consistently fired. Medium fine, slightly grtty texture but mostly smooth break. Rare, small, angular black inclusions; rare, small, subrounded, white inclusions; very rare, rounded voids of various sizes in break and on surface; no visible mica. Wet smoothing.
Preservation comment
One large fragment preserves part of upper body and shoulder. Slight, sparse abrasion and erosion with pitting; worn breaks; frequent specks of encrustation across surface.
