Fabric, firing, and surface description
Typical Late Roman Corinthian “white“ fabric (discolored from secondary scorching), firing (very hard), and surface (smoothing?). Thin but prominent, flat joining ridge and slight webbing; good alignment at back of handle but slightly pinched by finger.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves ca. 55% of lamps including over one-half of discus, left shoulder and back right shoulder, entire handle, most of right wall, and less than one-half of base. Slight, somewhat extensive abrasion and rare scratching and chipping around edges; worn breaks; scattered specks of encrustation.
