Graffito in Greek letters in distinct but shallow strokes, inscribed before firing, on top of handle near rim.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Reddish brown core; surface (1.5-2.5mm) slightly more reddish orange; consistently fired. Slightly coarse, medium hard; granular break. Uncommon, small, well sorted, subangular black and dark inclusions, but subrounded, somewhat larger, similar particles visible at surface; rare, tiny, light bits (calcareous?); rare, small, rounded voids.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves ca. 55% of rim and neck and upper part of one handle. Slight, sparse abrasion especially around rim; worn breaks; thin, faint, somewhat frequent patches of encrustation.
