Fabric, firing, and surface description
Type Middle-Late Roman Athenian lamp fabric (pale red; slightly gritty), firing (consistent), and surface treatment (orangish red slip; somewhat thick, even, semilustrous).
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves ca. 30% of lower middle to left part of lamp, including roughly one-third of base and part of wall. Slight, sparse abrasion and slight, somewhat extensive flaking; worn breaks; few specks of encrustation.
