- Description
- Circular body. Imbricated leaf pattern in relief on top. Wide band handle.
- Fabric, firing, and surface description
- Pale brown fabric, consistently fired; hard, fine; smooth to vaguely hackly break; uncommon, tiny lime specks and dark gray to black bits; uncommon, tiny sparkles of golden mica. Thin, even but flaking, dark gray but fired to reddish gray in cloud on left top; slipped only above seam and around front of nozzle and extending inside through wickhole.
- Preservation comment
- Five joining sherds preserve ca. 75% of lamp, including most of discus, shoulder, and wall, half of nozzle, and less than half of base, separated cleanly at seam. Moderate, extensive abrasion and rare scratching; worn breaks; very rare, thin encrustation.
