Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric; pale red; somewhat gritty texture, slightly granular break, slightly soft; fine, with rare, well sorted, small, subangular, white (calcareous) and rare to very rare, small, black and red inclusions. Consistently fired? Slip inside and outside lamp, including groove: brownish black; even, thin, semimatter; flakey.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves ca. 30% of lamp, including roughly one-third of upper front shoulder and entire nozzle. Moderate, extensive abrasion and slight chipping; worn breaks; scattered specks of encrustation and thicker pockets in groove.
