Description
Small amphora. Conical lower neck turns more vertical upward. One letter in red dipinto: iota?
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Orangish red core and interior surface; exterior surface (1-2mm) pale brown; consistently fired. Medium coarse, hard; granular break and gritty surface texture. Uncommon, small, well sorted, subrounded and subangular, black, gray, and rarely white (calcareous) inclusions; uncommon, large gold mica flakes at surface; rare, small, rounded voids.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves small part of upper body, shoulder, or neck. Faint, very sparse abrasion especially around edges; worn breaks; patch of irregular, white encrustation of variabel thickness especially on interior surface.
