Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: dark buff with a tinge or pink; slightly soft, slightly gritty; uncommon, small to medium, well sorted, subangular and subrounded, white (calcareous) inclusions and rare, tiny to small, black and red-brown inclusions; faintly micaceous. Consistently fired. Slip: somewhat thick, even, semilustrous; flakey.
Preservation comment
One small fragment preserves ca. 10-12% of lateral discus and adjacent shoulder. Moderate, extensive abrasion with occasional gouging and chipping; worn breaks; pockets of slight encrustation within grooves.
