Late Roman Corinthian lamp fabric (reddish brown but core slightly darker than surface, overall heavy), firing (hard), and surface (slight smoothing along sloping shoulder). Thick, sharp joining ridge and narrow webbing; interior surface pressed and flattened by finger.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves entire upper part of lamp but missing front nozzle. Moderate, extensive abrasion; worn breaks; frequent small patches of encrustation; dark gray cloud around front part of lamp (secondary scorching?).
