Small conical cup. This piece is distinctive by having a very solid base. The low ring foot extends right from edge of base; it provides a flat resting surface and is marked from from underside by convex offset. Circular stamp divided into four sections by irregular cross at center of interior floor.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fine light-red fabric with frequent glistening micaceous bits visible in direct sunlight. Surface slip is thick and darker.
Preservation comment
Single sherd preserving all of solid base and much of lower wall to turn to rim. Two chips on base. Thick slips is generally well preserved.
