Amphora. Rounded shoulder. Traces of dense, low ridging on exterior; turning grooves on interior. Red dipinto in small letters across shoulder.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Light reddish brown to pink fabric, more buff on exterior surface; consistently fired but pinkish cloud across interior surface. Fine, hard; slightly granular break and gritty texture. Uncommon, very small, rounded black inclusions; rare, angular and subangular, small, white (lime and shell?) bits; and very rare, angular, small to medium, reddish gray inclusions; rare, subangular voids of all sizes in breaks and on surface; no visible mica. Quite possibly LRA1. Gouges in surface before firing. Blobs of excess clay on exterior.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves small part of upper wall and shoulder. Slight, sparse abrasion with rare gouging; worn breaks; scattered specks of encrustation with faint cloud of dark green discoloration on interior surface.
