Amphora. Low sloping shoulder; cylindrical neck, bulging toward middle; strong ridging on interior neck. Red dipinto in two lines, first one with small characters and second one with larger characters: ΧΜΓ | [?].
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Pale pink to buff; very thin wash slightly more pale; consistenty fired. Medium fine, hard; granular break; slightly gritty texture. Uncommon, well sorted, rounded(?) black, white, and gray bits; rare, small, subrounded white (calcareous) inclusions; rare small golden mica flakes. Wet smoothing. Late Kenchreai RC22?
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves ca. 15% of lower neck and joint to adjacent shoulder. Slight, sparse abrasion; worn breaks; thin, irregular patches of encrustartion and black speckling on exterior surface.
