Typical Middle-Late Roman Athenian fabric (pale red with tinge of orange; hard, slightly gritty texture; small, well sorted, subangular, white, black, and red inclusions), firing, and surface treatment (dark orangish red slip; thick, even, matte).
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves most of handle and very small part of adjacent shoulder and wall. Moderate, somewhat extensive abrasion and chipping, especially around edges; worn breaks; sparse specks of encrustation within grooves.
