Fabric, firing, and surface description
Typical fabric (pinkish buff; fine but slightly gritty texture), firing, and surface treatment (thick, even, purplish red). Well smoothed seam. Plug in small handle loop left in before firing.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves small part of back shoulder, almost entire handle, and adjacent back wall. Moderate, extensive abrasion and minor chipping; slip worn off in large patches; worn breaks; scattered specks of encrustation.
