Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: pale reddish orange, fired slightly more pale at surface; hard, cracking at surface; gritty texture, granular break; uncommon, small, well sorted, white and rare, small, black and red(?) inclusions). Consistently fired. Surface: unslipped; smoothed. Clean alignment and smoothing at seam.
Preservation comment
Five joining sherds (a+b) preserve ca. 60% of lamp, including most of discus, over one-half of left and right shoulder, entire handle, and roughly one-third of walls and base. Slight to moderate, somewhat extensive abrasion and rare scratching and chipping; somewhat worn breaks; scattered specks of encrustation.
