Description
Circular discus with figural relief: Actaeon lunging left, transforming into stag, with hound in side-view leaping up to stomach.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Pale yellow, consistently fired; hard, soft, smooth but faintly granular breaking; common, poorly sorted, small, rounded black and lime bits. Thick, semimatte, even slip, fired grayish brown, on interior and exterior. Italian.
Preservation comment
Intact but part of front right nozzle missing. Slight, sparse abrasion and minor gouging; worn breaks. Weathering consistent with long marine submersion.
