Description
Steep back wall. Circular raised ring base, set off by grooves. Signature in relief: ROMA|[NESIS].
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: typical Early-Middle Roman buff lamp fabric (fine, hard). Slip: thin, somewhat uneven, matte, flakey everywhere; dark reddish brown.
Preservation comment
One fragment preserves ca. 45% from back of base, including part of signature. Slight, extensive abrasion with flaking and rare pitting; worn breaks.
