- Description
- Small cup with slightly flaring walls and high, slightly flaring rim. Slight offset or flange separates rim from wall on exterior and gives it a concave profile on exterior. Thickness of wall is variable so that it is essentially straight on exterior but flaring on interior. Small ring foot separated from exterior wall by offset; sloped lower face. End of turning spiral extant in center of inner floor.
- Fabric, firing, and surface description
- Very fine slightly pink fabric with rare inclusions, one chunk exploding on exterior surface. Thin dark red slip is worn and partially missing. Double dipping streak partially preserved.
- Preservation comment
- One large sherd preserves ca. 65% of vessel, including full profile and entire base. Slight, extensive abrasion and minor chipping; extensively flaking slip. Weathering consistent with long marine submersion.
