Description
Finely made small bowl. High rim, slightly inverted, with concave exterior face; light rouletting above and below; rim offset from wall on interior; slight groove below rim on exterior. Flaring wall. Short, slightly flaring ring foot, well formed, sharply offset from wall with band above. Flat floor not sharply offset from wall. One small patch of excess clay on interior.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Very fine pale fabric, no visible inclusions. Thin red slip is worn, especially over rim; more thickly applied in concave areas.
Preservation comment
Two joining sherds preserve ca. 60% of vessel, including full profile and entire base. Slight, somewhat sparse abrasion and rare pitting; flaking slip.
