Description
Hemispherical bowl. Small ring foot, rounded, but groove on inside; slightly convex underside. Upper wall straight, with single groove. Plain, slightly pointed lip.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Light red fabric, consistently fired. Fine, somewhat soft; smooth break. Uncommon, well sorted, tiny to small, subrounded, subangular, and rarely tabular bits, including lime, offwhite, gray, and black; very faintly glistening exterior surface (micaceous?) A few prominent turning marks on exterior lower body.
Preservation comment
Two large joining sherds preserve ca. 30% of vessel, including full profile. Slight, sparse abrasion with minor pitting and gouging; worn breaks; patches of white discoloration (calcareous?) and specks of encrustation.
