Conservation
1960s: mended with shellac.
Description
Small bowl with rounded walls and thin rounded upper lip; ring base. Deep groove separates base from wall on exterior. Base has bulging exterior profile, flat bottom, sloped and slightly concave on interior face.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Very fine, pale fabric. Thin, dark, semiglossy red slip mostly worn but well preserved in patches on exterior.
Preservation comment
Two joining sherds preserve complete vessel. Extensive, severe abrasion removing most of flip; scattered pitting, gouging and chipping; scattered patches of encrustation.
