Fabric, firing, and surface description
Slip mostly worn, some small patches of smooth brownish-red slip preserved on the exterior and interior. Fine, brownish-orange fabric (on surface; no fresh break was made, which presumably would show a more reddish fabric). Clean fabric, with few/some tiny white bits, and no sparkling bits readily visible.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves ca. 20% of vessel, including full profile. Extensive pitting and erosion across surface, with large flakes or gouges into rim; very worn breaks. Weathering consistent with long marine submersion.
