Description
Flanged bowl with quite vertical rim and relatively straight wall with some recurve in it. The flanged is marked off from the vertical rim by tooled groove and from the walls by a wider groove that gives the entire underside of rim a concave profile. The short ring base flares slight and the underside triangular button is slight.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric and slip lightened by marine exposure. There are occasional tiny light bits visible where surface worn.
Preservation comment
Two joining sherds (one much smaller) preserving most of vessel, including just under 1/4 of rim, full profile, and entire base. The slip is worn overall and missing entirely in large patches.
