Description
Small one-handled jug with vertical rim on short flaring neck with slight outer flange. Rounded body with slightly concave base. Concave upper face of rim is well defined at inner turn to interior of short neck. Body below short neck has ridges formed by spiral groove to base.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fine, soft fabric consistently fired to light brown; few tiny inclusions. Slip substantially darker.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves entire rim (but chipped), full profile, and ca. 20% of base; handle attachments remain as patches below rim and on body. Slight to moderate, extensive abrasion with sparse pitting, flaking, and scratching to gouging; worn breaks; scattered specks to thin patches of gray encrustation.
