Obscured by weathering: dark brown, consistently fired(?); hard, smooth break; uncommon, tiny to small, mostly dark, subangular inclusions.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves entire base and body up to upper attachment of handle. One large hole in belly. Soft and powdery surface, extensive erosion and pitting, consistent with marine submersion over a long period; worn breaks.
