Description
Dish or plate. Short, square ring foot splayed outward. Straight, flaring lower wall up to turn to carination, marked by groove; high rim above is barely extant.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Brownish red fabric; hard; smooth to slightly hackly or platy fracture. Micaceous; uncommon, small to medium, subrounded lime chunks; rarer, varied, tiny bits. Thick red slip on all surfaces with only occasional missing patches on interior and limited chipping on exterior.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves 8% of base and small part of lower wall. Slight to moderate, extensive abrasion, sparse pitting and gouging, and chipping around all edges; worn break; scattered specks to patches of thin encrustation.
