Description
Straight sloping faces bears simple Greek cross in low relief with bottom and ends of short arms chipped or broken away. Finely carved.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Creamy white to greyish white, medium fine-grained, slightly crystalline marble with grayish blue streaks. Proconnesian.
Preservation comment
One large, irregular fragment preserves one finished face of block. Slight chipping around edges and moderate chips on surface; moderate to thick film of encrustation across all surfaces.
