Description
Shallow basin. Vertical(?) upper body. Rim folded inward, slightly flattened, and crease inside smoothed over; rounded top and interior, exterior tooled to create slight groove just under lip. Neck on outside has slight angular indentation but flares out to carination marked by flange projecting upward; opposite on inside it slight ridge.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Granular fabric has frequent, very small to small, subangular to subrounded, white and black inclusions. Grey core and red/pink (7.5YR 7/4) toward surface. Interior surface is light reddish-brown with slight brush marks and exterior is pale brown.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves ca. 10% of rim and small part of upper body. Moderate, extensive abrasion and chipping around all edges; scattered specks and patches of encrustation.
