JLR: intermediate form between Kenchreai RC22 (“Ikarian“) and Ephesus 56.

Description
Cylindrical neck, convex walls. Plain, round rim rolled outward. Vertical strap handle attaches at upper neck.

Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric consistently fired red (10R 4/6). Fine, hard fabric has frequent golden mica and rare to uncommon, tiny to small, subangular(?), red, black, and gray particles; rare sparkling bits (quartz?). Cf. standard LRA3 fabric.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves 19% of rim, upper neck, and upper one-third of handle. Moderate, extensive abrasion, erosion, and chipping; worn breaks; thin, extensive film of encrustation.
