Description
Heavy amphora spike, tapering to finished small flat end. Fainting turning marks.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Dense, granular fabric, consistently fired pale red, with frequent medium angular dark chunks and some varied medium to small lighter inclusions. Surface thinly washed and lighter.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves entire toe. Slight, sparse abrasion and gouging, minor chipping around edges; somewhat worn breaks; large, thin, irregular patches of encrustation.
