Description
Jug? Flaring ring foot with sharp inner edge and rounded (or beveled?) outer edge. Slip only on exterior. Lack of slip on interior and slight turning ridges suggest that this was a closed vessel.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fine very pale fabric with no visible inclusions. Thin, even, matte red slip partially preserved on exterior; floor is plain.
Preservation comment
One small sherd preserves ca. 12% of base and small part of adjacent wall and floor. Slight to moderate, somewhat sparse abrasion and pitting; worn breaks; somewhat extensive, thin film and patches of encrustation.
