Description
Short, vertical to slightly tapering, cylindrical rim that bulges slightly in middle; plain, rounded to slightly pointed lip. Upper shoulder descends from neck in steep, even slope. Large blobs of excess clay on face of rim and shoulder.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Grtty orange fabric containing mixed sand, small lime chunks. Northern Palestinian: Caesarea.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves ca. 20% of rim and small part of shoulder. Slight, extensive abrasion and chipping around edges; somewhat worn breaks; thin film of white discoloration (calcareous).
