Vertical to slightly flaring rim has slightly groove on outer face, simple rounded lip, and thick projecting ledge for lid with slight concavity below. Upper wall slopes straight outward from sharp articulation with rim.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric 10R 4/1, dark grayish red; grayer near surface. Granular fabric, pimply surface, with uncommon, subangular to subrounded, small to medium-sized black and less frequent white inclusions (“added sand“); frequent small voids.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves ca. 15-20% of rim and small part of upper body. Slight, sparse abrasion but clean breaks; thin, extensive patches of encrustation.
