Fabric, firing, and surface description
Very pale red with a tinge of brown, fired gray at surface; slightly coarse, hard, smooth to faintly granular break; common, mostly small, sandy inclusions (quartzitic, calcareous), a few medium and angular. Turning marks on interior; brushstrokes on exterior.
Preservation comment
One large fragment preserves ca. 30% of knob. Slight to moderate, abrasion; slightly worn breaks; sparse patches to spicules of encrustation.
