Description
Wide cylindrical neck tapers toward rim. Loop handle attaches at upper neck and shoulder. Handle has light ridging on upper face and groove underneath. Distinct dimple on interior of neck at upper handle attachment.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Consistently fired(?) ”brick red” fabric; hard; common, small, calcareous and quartzitic inclusions; rare large lime chunks; one large, dark angular chunk observed. Pale saline wash on exterior; interior plain. Classic Tunisian fabric.
Preservation comment
One large fragment preserves less than one-third of neck and one entire handle. Slight, sparse abrasion and a few chips around edges; worn breaks.
