Cooking dish. Rim vertical to slightly flaring, thickened and rounded on top; interior face has slight ridge that creates grooved seat for lid. Transition from rim to body is in some places marked by slight groove and in others indistinct. Upper body slopes down and out gently.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Slightly granular fabric has a grey core and is dark red towards surface; frequent tiny bits with occasional small to medium light angular inclusions, some evident on surface. Inner surface is brown, outer is grey.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves 7-8% of rim and small part of upper body. Slight, sparse abrasion on interior especially; somewhat thick, extensive film of encrustation.
