Low arching, thin tile. Lateral margin is beveled and thickened upward. Traces of red paint on bottom surface only.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric is light red (10R 7/6) and consistently fired. Gritty fabric has various inclusions all well-sorted: uncommon large, angular, gray and red; frequent medium, subangular and subrounded black, gray, and red; and uncommon small and medium, subrounded, “lime“. Unslipped. Bottom surface only has traces of thin, even, semiglossy paint in consistent red (5R 4/8).
Preservation comment
Two joining fragments (fresh breaks) preserve small part of tile with one finished edge. Moderate, somewhat sparse abrasion and slight scoring; frequent specks to patches of thin encrustation on bottom face and extensive, thin film of encrustation on top face.
