Baggy body. Sloping shoulder with rounded, indistinct transition from body. Fine, sharp ridging on shoulder. Ring handle, oval in section with single groove on axis, attaches to shoulder well below rim.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Somewhat soft, reddish brown to orange, sandy fabric with various small, rounded to subrounded bits (black, red, gray) and lime chunks. Surface smoothed. Northern Palestinian: Caesarea.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves ca. 12% of upper body and lower shoulder with one entire handle. Slight to moderate, extensive abrasion and much chipping around edges; somewhat worn breaks; extensive encrustation over all surfaces. Spots of green mold from recent storage on handle.
