ESC Loeschcke 19 but transitional to Hayes 3; this it larger scale than classic Hayes 3 (first half 2nd c.)
Description
Small bowl. Flaring ring foot with slight rounded outer face and vertical sloping inner face. Wide flaring lower wall; unusually thin floor. Slipped on all surfaces.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Typical for ware: Pergamene area, probably Çandarlı. Pale red fabric with few lime inclusions. Thick, smoothed, slightly glossy, slip on interior; more matte on exterior.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves 30% of base and small part of lower wall. Slight to moderate, somewhat extensive abrasion and pitting and chipping around edges; worn breaks; somewhat frequent specks to patches of encrustation.
