Description
Amphora with short neck. Wide shallow groove separates neck from wall on exterior.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Slightly granular fabric with angular medium light and dark chunks and frequent small to tiny varied bits. Fabric is overfired to pale green in comparison to usual firing for form. Thin wash is now pale red. No signs of burning.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves 45% of rim and neck and small part of contiguous shoulder. Slight, somewhat sparse abrasion and chipping around edges; worn breaks; wide patch of encrustation along lip.
