Fabric, firing, surface
Reddish brown at surfaces (2-5mm) and pale rose at core of thickened wall. Hard, coarse; hackly break with rough surface texture. Common, tiny, white bits (calcareous?); rare, irregular black flecks; uncommon, large, elongated vegetal voids. Cf. 1556. Lower Egyptian.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves ca. 18% of rim and small part of uppermost shoulder. Very rare, slight gouging; clean breaks but patches of thick encrustation.
