Description
Amphora or robust jug. Vertical handle, round in section, with five grooves on outer face (cf. MRA5 but too small).
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Very pale red, consistently fired; coarse fabric, hard, with smooth to granular break; Uncommon, small, lime chunks; frequent, rounded and angular and platy, small, black, gray, and red bits; rare, medium to large, elongated, brown particles. Surface lightly washed and more pale than fabric.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves lower part of one handle. Slight, extensive abrasion and pitting and rare gouging, with chipping around edges; worn breaks; thin, sparse patches of encrustation.
