Description
Concave body. Short, vertical rim with convex outer face and concave inner face over ledge; rounded on top.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Granular fabric is dark reddish-brown with frequent small to medium light inclusions, also observable in abundance in discrete area on surface; other tiny bits. Interior surface is brownish-red; top of rim and exterior surface show signs of burning or use. Light brush marks on all extant surfaces.
Preservation comment
Two joining sherds, one slightly larger (1229) and one slightly smaller (1704), preserve ca. 14% of rim and small part of upper body. Slight, extensive abrasion and pitting; slightly worn breaks; sparse specks of encrustation.
