Large jug or amphora. Arching loop handle, oval in section, with two grooves in outer face.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Very pale red (near 5YR 8/3); slightly coarse, somewhat hard, with smooth break; uncommon, small, lime inclusions and small rounded voids. Surface has thin, dull wash, more pale than fabric.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves roughly 50% of one handle and one attachment. Extensive, slight abrasion and flaking at surface; worn breaks; sparse, thin film of encrustation.
