Description
Hollow toe with sunken floor, ridged on exterior.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Grey core and brown red surface (3-5 mm); slightly coarse, hard, smooth break; inclusions range from uncommon, rounded and subrounded, medium chunks (gray to dark gray, white) to tiny light bits; very rounded black stones seen sometimes in MRA3 are not present. Surface slipped, even and matte, fired slightly lighter brown.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves most of toe and lowermost body. Slight, extensive abrasion with rare scoring and gouging; somewhat worn breaks; scattered spots of encrustation.
