Globular body. Flaring rim with squared off lip, slightly grooved in places. Distinct ridging on interior up to base of neck. Thin slip shows light brush marks on upper surfaces. Simple wavy line incised around vessel just above mid-body.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
“Ceramica grezza.“ Hard, coarse fabric with frequent medium, mostly dark with some light, angular inclusions, many rounded voids, some surface. Grey core; towards surface turns very pale brown, with very thin wash slightly darker than fabric beneath.
Preservation comment
Two joining sherds (1376+1398) preserve ca. 30% of mid-body up to rim. Slight, sparse abrasion; mostly clean breaks; thin, scattered patches of encrustation especially on exterior under rim.
