Description
Corinthian stemmed open cup such as kylix or kantharos. Lower wall has convex profile with wheelmade concentric incisions around area where stem was once attached, now missing. Classical-Hellenistic.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fine, hard clay with a few tiny voids and inclusions. Semi-lustrous black glaze overall, with evidence of double-dipping on exterior.
Preservation comment
One fragment preserves less than one quarter of lower wall and floor. Slight, sparse chipping and gouging; small patches of encrustation.
