Description
Small bowl. Short, thick, flaring foot has straight sloping interior face and more vertical exterior face with slight groove; distinct groove at join of foot and wall. Thin floor; wide bowl. Double row of short, uneven rouletting in ring around floor above foot. Slipped on interior and exterior walls; underside plain.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Light reddish brown. Fine, consistently fired fabric with only rare, small, subangular, light inclusions. Thin matte slip on interior, distinctly more brown than fabric. Exterior slip thinner and variably fired with streaks of dark brown. Fine turning marks on underside.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves 50% of base and large parts of wall and floor. Slight, sparse abrasion and gouging, moderate chipping around edges; worn breaks; slight, scattered patches of encrustation.
